Jacobsen’s aim was to produce a chair that felt and looked comfortable, and he succeeded-its bright color attracts attention and its enveloping form is inviting. The Egg’s sides and “wings” both cradle and conceal whoever is sitting in it, creating a sense of privacy that was particularly appealing to customers sitting in the public places like hotel lobbies etc. (Wilkinson P. (2013), Great Design).

Fruit Wallpaper by William Morris
Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful
William Morris was a British Designer, writer and campaigner. Among his most influential work was a series of wallpapers he designed in the 1860s and 1870s. Fruit, one of the earliest, is an arrangement of pomegranate, orange, lime, and peach tree branches, all bearing leaves, fruit, and flowers, It was strikingly different from Victorian wallpapers popular at the time because the pattern was treated in a flattened, stylized fashion, with the shading that most contemporary wallpaper designs look three dimensional, and set against a light background (Wilkinson P. (2013), Great Design).
